Do I need to create an account to use Noke Smart Entry?

Yes. You’ll need to download the free Noke app and create an account before move-in. Once your rental is set up, your unit access will be linked directly to your account in the app.

What happens if my phone dies or I don’t have cell service?

The Noke app uses Bluetooth rather than cellular data or Wi-Fi to communicate with your lock, so you don’t need an internet connection to access your unit. If your phone is completely dead, contact our facility team, and they can assist you with alternative access.

Can I use a Smart Unit without a smartphone?

Smart Units are designed for smartphone use. If you do not have a compatible device, please reach out to our team before renting a Smart Unit so we can discuss the best storage option for your situation.

Is there an additional cost for a Smart Unit?

Smart Unit pricing varies by location and unit size. Any applicable fees will be clearly displayed when you reserve your unit online. There are no hidden charges for using the Noke app itself.

What should I do if the smart lock on my unit is not responding?

First, make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled and that the Noke app is up to date. If the lock still does not respond, contact the facility team directly, and they will troubleshoot the issue or provide immediate access assistance.
